New Clubhouse for Orchards of East Cherokee

Homeowners in The Orchards of East Cherokees had the opportunity to return to the ‘50s at the recent grand opening party for their just-completed community clubhouse.

Stacy Wheelus, The Orchards Group’s activities director, said the “Grand Clubhouse” was transformed into a ‘50s diner complete with made-to-order shakes and malts, burgers and dogs served by diner waitresses. Complementing the 50s theme of the event were music from that ers, a car show and swing dancers. In addition to current homeowners, prospective homebuyers were also invited and in attendance. The crowd, including children and grandchildren, numbered around 100 people.

The new “Grand Clubhouse”, swimming pool and amenities area is an important feature for The Orchards of East Cherokee, The Orchards Group’s 55 and older active adult age preferred community neighborhood near Woodstock in the historic Hickory Flat area of Cherokee County.

The amenities within the neighborhood include the clubhouse with a fitness room, a card and games room, a large gathering room with a fireplace, a surround sound TV entertainment center, a gourmet kitchen, and a barbecue grill, as well as a community swimming pool. Serving the neighborhood and its homeowners is the activities director, who coordinates social events and planned activities inside and outside the neighborhood for the communities under development by The Orchards Group.

The Orchards of East Cherokee is located on Hickory Road convenient to Interstate 575 and Georgia Highways 400 and 92.

Two distinct villages, one with single family homes and the other with ranch condominiums, are being under construction in the 140-home neighborhood. The single family homes are priced from $270,000 to the mid $300,000s, and the ranch condominiums are priced from the $210,000s  to $325,000. There will be 48 detached single family homes and 92 ranch condominiums with all homes having two to four bedrooms.

The neighborhood is a short drive from extensive shopping, entertainment, healthcare, and recreational facilities in the Canton, Woodstock and Roswell areas, and it is directly across the street from a new Kroger Shopping Center, which will include the largest Kroger store in Cherokee County. Also, qualified homeowners can take advantage of significant property tax exemptions available from Cherokee County.

Three model homes have been built in the neighborhood, including one single family home and two ranch condominiums. More information about The Orchards of East Cherokee can be obtained by calling  770-345-5409.
