2 Generations at Brannon Oak Farm

The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm in Forsyth County is home to two generations of the O’Kelley family.

After years of son, Jim O’Kelley, driving from his North Georgia home to visit his mother Dorothy in Columbus, Ga. they decided it was time for a change.

The O’Kelley family began searching for a place that would allow Dorothy and Jim to live close together. Soon, The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm stood out above the rest of Atlanta’s active adult communities.

Dorothy O’Kelley became the very first resident at Brannon Oak Farm in 2007. A year later, Jim and his wife Sharon followed her lead. “Sharon and I decided to move in as well, so we now live within rock throwing distance of each other,” Jim said.

The O’Kelleys appreciate the community for its great location and its sense of community. They are all active participants in the community’s programs for its residents, and Jim recently started a neighborhood watch program within the community. Under the plan, block captains can quickly and easily spread the word about any emergency situations that may arise within Brannon Oak Farm.

The O’Kelley famiy is just one example of how The Orchards Group works to bring families closer together.
