Adopt a Senior for 4th Year

‘Tis the season to help those that are less fortunate…No one understands that more than The Orchards Group, one of Atlanta’s premier active adult homebuilders for those 55 and over.

For the fourth consecutive year, The Orchards Group is sponsoring Cherokee County Senior Services Adopt a Senior Program. The program, which is an extension of the county’s Meals-on-Wheels program allows for seniors in need to get the gifts they wouldn’t have the opportunity to receive otherwise. Gifts typically range from sweaters and blankets to gloves and scarves.

“The Orchards Group has been wonderful and extremely generous,” said Sharon Smith, supervisor of Meals-on-Wheels and Volunteer Services at Cherokee County Senior Services. “Without folks like them, our seniors wouldn’t have a Christmas. They have been great for so many years and we really appreciate them.”

The Orchards Group is the developer of three active adult communities including The Orchards of Habersham Grove and The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm in Forsyth County, and The Orchards of East Cherokee in Cherokee County.
