East Cherokee SOLD OUT !!

The Orchards Group is excited to announce that the final home has closed at The Orchards of East Cherokee! With the community completely sold out and the final residents moved in, The Orchards Group is pleased with the end result. Even though sales were difficult during the Great Recession, the active adult community remains a success.
Development started at The Orchards of East Cherokee just before the recession, meaning sales were difficult to come by for the first several years. With The Orchards Group’s continual effort to present the community well, they were able to maximize the opportunities that came during that arduous time.
However, in the post-recession market of 2013-2014, The Orchards Group sold more than 70 homes at this community! More than 50 percent of the community was sold in a 24 month period, which is largely attributed to the pent-up demand for active adult homes.
“With the final home now closed , it’s exciting to drive through the community with everything complete,” said Mitch Block, director of sales and marketing for The Orchards Group. “No construction is occurring, the streets recently received a fresh coat of asphalt and it looks more welcoming than we could have ever imagined.”
The Orchards of East Cherokee was The Orchards Group’s first venture into Cherokee County. After selling 140 total homes in this first community, the builder currently has no additional property in the county. However, due to The Orchards of East Cherokee’s outstanding sales, it is aggressively looking for more land nearby to construct a new active adult community.
