Final Homes at East Cherokee

Active retirees and seniors searching for a new home in north Atlanta are running out of time to call The Orchards of East Cherokee home. Built by The Orchards Group, a premier active adult builder in metro Atlanta, less than 20 homes remain at this sought-after community.
In 2013, The Orchards Group sold 38 homes at The Orchards of East Cherokee. So far in 2014, 24 homes have been sold at this community! Because of this interest, The Orchards Group expects this community to be sold out and completed by the end of 2014 or the first quarter of 2015.
As the community nears the final 10 to 15 percent of available homes, sales tend to pick up. In fact, six homes have sold at The Orchards of East Cherokee in the past two weeks.
“Active adult buyers don’t typically have the same urgency to purchase a home that you see from younger buyers who have job or family requirements that necessitate a quick move,” said Mitch Block, director of sales and marketing for The Orchards Group. “However, as the community nears completion, a sense of urgency is created because these buyers realize if they don’t make a decision soon, they will miss out on the opportunity to own a home here.”
Currently, there are 16 ranch condominium homes remaining at The Orchards of East Cherokee that are priced from the $210,000s through the $270,000s. Construction on the final three ranch condominium buildings is scheduled to begin within the next four to six weeks, with an assortment of plans still remaining that have completion dates ranging from August 2014 to January 2015.The remaining homes that haven’t been started will allow buyers to have the opportunity to select many of the interior design features in the home, such as paint colors and hardware finishes.
In addition to the ranch condominium homes, there are two single-family homes priced in the low $300,000s remaining at The Orchards of East Cherokee. One home is move-in ready now, while one will be completed by mid-September. Both homes feature a full daylight, walk-out basement, as well as the luxury standard features that have made homes from The Orchards Group so popular.
