Those familiar with Atlanta real estate know that The Orchards Group builds wonderful active adult communities. But what you may not know that our commitment to local citizens runs much deeper than that. For the past five years, The Orchards Group and our employees have donated time and money to those less fortunate at the Cherokee Senior Center.
Each year, the Orchards team comes together and helps improve the lives of those around them. One year, we gave a monetary donation as well as necessities such as coats, shoes, blankets and more. At the holiday party, employees wrapped the items and labeled each one so that it could be personally delivered to someone at the center.
The Orchards Group has worked with Meals on Wheels, the oldest and largest national organization working to end senior hunger. When the Meals on Wheels program receives a list of necessary items, it works to provide everyone with the requested items. In the past, each Orchards Group employee has picked a person on the list and donated items to that individual.
As an active adult builder , we strive to help other active adults in the community We have made donations to the transportation division of the Cherokee Senior Center. This division enlists the aid of volunteers to drive senior citizens to the doctor’s office, grocery store or any other place they need to go.
Giving back to others should be important to every organization, and that’s why The Orchards Group has and will continue to support the local citizens at the Cherokee Senior Center.
