At The Orchards Group we strive to stay true to our mission and ultimately to our homebuyers. Since 1998, we have come to know the desires of our targeted homebuyer. We realize that not all adults 55 years and older want to live in a “cruise ship on land”-type of community with more amenities than needed and over a 1,000 neighbors they’ll never entirely meet.
In our smaller, well-established Atlanta communities, we offer residents both quality-built homes made from the best of materials and designs and a social environment perfect for enjoying time with neighbors and friends. We provide fun, stress-free activities and parties that give our residents a chance to truly get to know one another.
Stacy Wheelus, The Orchards Group Social Director, is the social-scene queen for our three current communities. Not only does Stacy organize monthly meet-and-greets for residents to mingle and enjoy themselves but she also helps new residents feel welcome in their new community before even moving into their new home. Having lived in four different states throughout her lifetime, Stacy understands the hardships of moving to a new place.
“By learning new homeowner’s individual stories, I discover their interests and hobbies so I can include them in community activities that will be interesting to them. Moving to a new community can be a difficult process; it’s my job to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible.”
An Orchards Group veteran since 2005, Stacy has worked within the residential housing industry for over 10 years. She currently lives in Canton where she enjoys quilting, volunteering at the local senior center and spending time with her husband and two children, Isabelle and Jackson.
“I greatly enjoy my job here at The Orchards Group. I have found my true niche by assisting residents find comfort in their new homes. We want homeowners to not only love their new houses but also the atmosphere within the community. The Orchards Group provides the home, I do the rest.”
